f logo

i had ms shooting stars. sometimes he deinstalled i do not know how. i got problems to reinstall win10, but even before there was a great f logo instead of stars. i heard about framework, but which version i need, if not what can this logo mean?

  • The F logo indicates that the screensaver requires the Adobe Flash Player to be installed. Unfortunately, support for Flash was recently removed from Windows. Because of this, screensavers that rely on Flash have stopped working.

    I expect to have a workaround soon. I will investigate if this also works for the Shooting Stars screensaver, and will post back here when I have an update.

  • Sorry, I assumed it was the Shooting Stars screensaver you linked to your post that you were having trouble with, but it looks like that one does not rely on Flash.

    If you're looking for the shooting star screensaver created by Microsoft, that might be Starfield Simulation. There are about a dozen Starfield screensavers in our archive. Of those, I know XKCD Starfield requires Flash, most of the others do not.
