PleAASE help me!!!

Dear Creator,

I recently downloaded your free malware screensaver featuring a digital talking parrot and have been thoroughly impressed by its effectiveness and entertainment value. However, I would like to know more about the product and its capabilities.

Could you please provide me with more information about the malware aspect of the screensaver? How does it work and what types of threats does it have on my computer?

Additionally, I would like to know if this parrot is recording everything I say in the 'recorded' folder and if it has access to my webcam.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Best regards,
Harold.J

  • Hello Harold,

Every screensaver on this site is free of malware.

The Digital Talking Parrot screensaver accesses your microphone while it runs so that it can pick up on words that it can add to the vocabulary of the parrot. Your conversations are not stored, once it picks up on a word you will be able to find it in the screensaver's settings menu, in the Recorded folder you mentioned.

It does not access your webcam. It also does not access the internet, so everything it picks up on will remain on your computer.

  • Can you describe what's happening, i.e. what you mean by "invading"?

Note that you can uninstall it at any time from the Apps & Features panel in Windows.

  • HEllo Rob

When i say invading I mean it keeps popping up and won't stop telling me things, also my grandson is very scared of it he is only 9.

And wher is the apps and features panel? This seems to be a bit to high tech for me I don't even know how it got there.

    Best regards,

  • It will pop up automatically after a period of inactivity (no use of mouse or keyboard), that's how screensavers are designed to function. If the wait time is set to, say, 10 minutes, then after 10 minutes of inactivity, the Talking Parrot will come on.

If you click the Start menu in the bottom left corner, then type "remove", you'll be able to click through to the "Add or remove programs" panel. Find the Talking Parrot program in the list, then click the three dots on the right side of it and select "Uninstall" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the removal.

Or select a different screensaver from the Screen Saver Settings panel.

    Hope that helps.
