why did it say it would harm my device
after downloading it, it told me it was blocked because it would harm my computer

Thank you for reporting that. I assume it is Windows that gave you this message? Or do you have a different anti-virus program installed? Some programs will block all screensavers made by Freeze.com, because the free versions of their screensaver tended to include adware. However, this full version of the Living 3D Butterflies screensaver does not contain any advertising or potentially unwanted applications.
I've reported it to Microsoft as a false alarm and hope to hear back soon.
