  • Thanks for posting your question to the message board.

Most screensavers in our archive were created by other individuals and companies. In this case, the Ripple screensaver was developed by a Japanese company, and the installation program unfortunately does not support other languages.

In the first screen of the installation program, you'll notice one of the button texts ends with "(N)". This is similar to English language installers, where "N" is a keyboard shortcut that stands for "Next". Similarly, "B" stands for "Back". In the next screen, "A" stands for "Agree", "D" for "Disagree", which is in reference to the license terms presented (also in Japanese, unfortunately).

So to install the Ripple screensaver, you would hit the (N) button, then tick the box where it says (A) and click (N), then click (N) one more time. The screensaver will then be installed, and you can click (N) again, followed by (C) for "Complete". At that point, the screensaver is installed and the next time you open the Screen Saver Settings panel, you can select "Surviveplus Ripple ScreenSaver".

There aren't a lot of screensaver in our archive in languages other than English, but sometimes we run across screensavers from other countries that are not available in English, and we still want to make those available to our users.

I will see what I can do to make these easier to install and use. Meanwhile, I hope you can get the Ripple screensaver working using the instructions above!
