IMAX Hubble Screensaver will not uninstall through 'Add/Remove Programs'

IMAX Hubble screensaver won't remove through Add/Remove Programs.
Had to uninstall it manually by deleting the IMAX file through C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and C:\Windows\System32

  • Hello Willow,

Some screensavers in our archive, including the IMAX Hubble one, are very old, and may not be fully compatible with modern versions of Windows.

Microsoft has a help page on manually removing programs from the Add/Remove Programs list. It's written for Windows 2000, but the instructions still apply, the only difference being the path in the registry. On 64-bit versions of Windows, like yours, you'll need to look for the screensaver here:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

    Apologies for the inconvenience!
