I have a problem with the Stickmen War screensaver.

When I run the screensaver from the preview button, it works perfectly.
But when it runs on its own, it doesn't use the desktop! Instead it, for a reason I can't figure out, uses a pure white background. Other than that, it works fine.


DETAILS:
Using Windows 10
NVIDIA graphics 1030 low-profile
I am using the trial 2.5 version.

Please reply with an answer to my problem, as at the time of writing, I can't figure this out myself.

  • I've forwarded your question to the developer of this screensaver, because I've just tested the screensaver myself (on Windows 11) and the same happens.

    Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll post back if I hear from them.

  • They're saying it's probably a security measure in Windows that prevents the desktop from being used. Not sure why that wouldn't apply to a preview, though.

    It's a pretty old screensaver and no longer being updated, so I'm afraid chances are low that there will ever be an update to fix this particular issue.

    Hope you still enjoy the screensaver with the white background.
