How to change your screensaver

Are you on Microsoft Windows? See: How to change your screensaver (Windows)

The Apple Mac OS X operating system has a Screen Savers panel from where you can select, configure and preview all installed screensavers. To access these settings, which are located in the System Preferences panel, follow the instructions and/or video walkthrough below.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Click the Apple icon at the top left of your screen, then select "System Preferences" from the menu.
  2. Click the "Desktop & Screen Saver" link (in the "Personal" category on older versions of OS X).
  3. Now click the "Screen Saver" tab to view a list of installed screensavers.
  4. Select the screensaver you wish to activate by clicking on it once. You can preview and configure it if the screensaver allows this. All settings are saved straight away, so simply close the window when you're done.

Whenever you've installed a screensaver and the Screen Savers panel isn't automatically opened, simply follow the above instructions to activate your new screensaver.
