Restore personal photo to screensaver

How can I restore the personal photo I used for screensaver on my PC. It disappeared from my photo gallery and it was accidentally removed from my screen.
I am using windows 7 and Google Chrome

  • Hello Navah,

Was this photo used in a screensaver, or are you referring to a wallpaper or desktop background? See Screensavers and wallpaper: what's the difference?

Either way, if the photo has disappeared from your photo gallery and it's no longer your wallpaper or included in a screensaver, I would assume the file has been moved or deleted. You would need to find the current location of the photo to be able to restore it to your wallpaper or screensaver.

Check the Windows trash can to make sure you haven't accidentally deleted the file. Other than that, I'm afraid you'd have to manually browse through your personal folders with the File Explorer to see if you can find it somewhere. Unless you remember the file name, then you can search for it.

Unfortunately, I can't think of another way to restore the photo.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Thanks so much for your reply.
Unfortunately, the phoot is nowhere to be found in all of my folders.
I have resigned myself to that fact and have installed a different phoot which I have saved in two different folders !
    I appreciate your thoughtful response.
    enjoy the week-end !

  • Photo is the proper spelling .
I don't know how the spelling above came into being- :)
